Hey all you Skywyrd Rebels...Been a little while since my last blog, but Santa took us for a ride down a slippery slope on his sleigh so far this winter with Bill our bass player, as you all well know. None the less, the Lukyn Skywyrd band, along with some great bass players from some other local bands, formed an alliance, took on the Marines' approach, and chose to "Adapt and Overcome!!" We've done exactly that so far!! Bill is shootin for a Skywyrd reunion in the next couple weeks. We all wish him the best and a speedy recovery!!!

Last weekend at Willies Dugout, we had Carl Stessel from the band, 7Wishes, playin' bass. He rocked!! Check them out, they're a great band!! This weekend at Knuckleheads in Eagle we will be hearing the rockin' bass sounds of Craig Larson from the band, The Sociables... You may have heard of them... lol!!! This big crazy kat can beat a bass... worth coming out to see!!

We want to thank you all for catching our shows. I personally am starting too notice a lot more familiar faces at each show, which tells me your all starting to get the Skywyrd Itch!!! That is what this whole thing is about for us!! The band is always working on new stuff to improve our show for you, our fans. Hang in there, this ride is only gonna get crazier!!! We have new music in the works, some new lighting coming soon and just some flat out ass-kickin' Southern rock. You don't wanna miss it!! Hope too see ya'll at the shows!!

Full Speed Ahead!

"Hey TURBO, Whats been going on?" Glad you asked!!

It's been a rather interesting year, to say the least, for me and the rest of these hoodlum's that make up Lukyn Skywyrd!! As you all may have heard, we now have Tony V. on the keys. He's a great addition to the group, and we are currently working with our newest drummer, Mike O'Krongly AKA, Mr Crowley! Per Turbo! He doesn't know his nickname yet. We are all currently hitting it hard to get ourselves dialed in as ONE LEAN, MEAN, SOUTHERN ROCKIN' MACHINE!! Fear not friends, for we will be rockin' it hard all winter long to bring you the best in ass kickin' Southern rock & foot stompin' country. I know you all will enjoy the new look for the band, appreciate the talent, and most of all, rock out to all your favorites. We guarantee new energy, additional tunes, and more originals we've been wanting to add for some time now! With that said, start unpacking your fall and winter Skywyrd wear and come run away with the band for the night. You won't be disappointed!! Skywyrd is officially full speed ahead!!

Port Fish Day and Molly Hatchet, Too!!

Hello there, my fellow SOUTHERN ROCKIN' FRIENDS!!!

Just finishing up a trip back from a rockin' Port Washington Fish Day!!!  In fact, it rocked so much that the sound company doing our sound, also did the sound for our fellow Southern rockers' band, MOLLY HATCHET.  As a bonus, they felt the need to honor us with some back stage passes to meet the boy's after their show.  Talk about some COOL KATS!!  These guy's rocked!!!

These guys are some classy, professional DUDE'S.  They were way cool to us!!!  We chatted about the our shows and then, Keith and I got some pictures with them. I'm sure Keith will post them on our web site.  (Not to throw Keith under the bus BUT...) I know y'all wanna see em!!! And if ya don't, well, look at 'em anyway!!!

Well that's about all fer now.  Keep rockin' with us!  We really do appreciate your support and love seeing y'all out there!!  Our next show is @ Witts End in Caledonia, August 8th for our Biker or Not Club!!  Our biker club shows always rock!!!  Hope too see ya there!!!

Countdown To Madam Belle's

Well, another show has ended in our Skywyrd kickoff to the summer festivals season '09. We had our first show at the Broken Spokes Saloon last weekend. Good times had by all!! The crowd was great, made some new friends, and visited with our regular rebel fans that have been following us around from town to town!! We had the honor of playing for the owner's girlfriend, Jen. It was her birthday party, a little something Mark, the owner, threw together. All in all, it was a great turn out and we are looking forward to some more shows at the Broken Spokes Saloon. Rumor has it that they have some serious bashes in the summertime. From talking to Mark, it sounds as though Lukyn Skywyrd will be a part of those wild summer bashes. You won't wanna miss that, trust me!! The atmosphere of this bar alone is worth trip!!

Our next stop will be on February 21st, at Madam Belle's in the Richfield/Germantown area. Check our schedule for location and time. This will be our first time there and it is, also, the grand reopening for them. So let's round up the troops and show them how to party Skywyrd style!! Hope to see you there!!

Great Times

Hey, Skywyrd frynds, I wanna start by thanking everybody for coming out to our show Friday at the Silver Lake Inn. It was a fantastic time and we love to play there! The place is always full of great people, from management and the regulars, to all the people that come to see us when we come to town. Thank You All, You Guys Rock!!!!

This Friday, Feb. 6th, we'll be spinning the big white Skywyrd mobile down to a new place for us called the Broken Spokes near the Janesville area (check our website for more info.) This place is right up our alley as far as crowd and atmosphere go. Its the owners birthday party so we would like to leave everybody with a rockin' feeling by night's end. From the sound of it last friday, it looks like we have a good size following of our own headin' out for support. It should be a rockin' time!! Hope to see ya there!!

Hey Skywyrd friends, here's my first blog, hope you enjoy it!!

Been gettin' some heat for this blog from more than one source soooo here ya go, better read!!!

First and foremost out of the gates, lets look up to the sky and raise a glass to the late, great Billy Powell, the keyboardist for Lynyrd Skynyrd, who passed to a way too early death!! All I can say is, if there's a Rock N Roll Heaven, you know they have one hell of a band!!!

Secondly, Lukyn Skywyrd is firin' off this Friday the 30th at the Silver Lake Inn in Elkhorn. This place rocks, its always a good show, and we've got our regulars that always show up when we come to town!! You guys know who you are!!! Thank You!!
